On the 3rd of January to the 7th of January, we spent some time in New York with my family and neighbours from Australia. Then from the 7th of January to the 9th of January, whilst everyone else left, my Mum, Dad and I spent some time together in Chicago.
🍕Famous Fat Dave’s Brooklyn Eating Tour 🍔
One of my highlights from my time in New York City was going on a tour with Famous Fat Dave. Dave picked us up from outside our hotel, before taking us on an eating tour through Brooklyn. The tour went for four hours, and we ate so much – from authentic New York bagels, to pizza, to Turkish coffee and baklava, to a Jewish deli, to burgers with a beef broth. It was also interesting to hear the history of the places we visited as well as see New York. Also, lots of the places we ate at were not well known by tourists, giving us an authentic experience!

🪄 Chicago Magic Show 🃏
Because my parents wouldn’t be there for my 22nd birthday, they decided to treat me to a surprise visit to the Chicago Magic Lounge. On arriving to the venue, it seems to just be a random laundromat, but on second inspections, it is actually a door to enter the magic lounge!
The night was lots of fun! Magicians performed card tricks at our table whilst we waited for the show. Also, my Dad was invited up onto the stage!

Sadly, this was the end of my time with my family and friends. It was really special to be reunited with them, and I really cherished the time spent with them.
Looks like you’re having fun, mate!
Thank you!
You’re welcome 🙂
